The mobile poker app has been possible thanks to Ongame Network; Bet24.com now offers online poker games via smartphones for both the Apple based products such as iPhones and iPads as well as for Android operating systems. The gaming site has revealed that iPhone users in Austria and Great Britain can download the application via Apple.

Denmark based players who use an iPhone will be able to use this new app from the New Year while those all over the world using Android based mobile devices can start playing mobile poker by visiting Bet24.com.

Lars Kollind, Poker Manager for Bet24.com said that they’re certain that mobile poker is the future. He added that they’re thrilled that Ongame is the first network offering both Android and iPhone poker clients and they can’t wait to offer them to their players. He further said that the new app would enable people to sit on a bus and get the full game experience on their smartphone.

Managing Director at Ongame, David Pittel said that enormous possibilities open up now that poker is a game that players can take with them anywhere. He further said that everyone recognizes that mobile poker is the future and they expect to integrate many more of their partners over the coming months.

Ongame was the first to offer real-money mobile poker application for the iPhone in January before coming out with one for Android based devices in July. The company added that presently the majority of the global market for smartphones is being shared by Android and iOS. This new mobile app is sure to be a hit with players who wish to play on the move.
